My Art Experience
For 4 years I regularly attended Masters School of Art (MSOA) in Clackamas, OR,
where I was taught the fine arts through inspiration of the Renaissance Era.
Since then (2010), I have not stopped chasing creative and artistic endeavors.
With pencils, pens, notebooks, sketchbooks, instruments, cameras, microphones, and more!
After several years of working in manufacturing I have returned to a very similar joyful art school environment. But this time as a teacher, with Art for All Nations (AFAN)
in Longview WA, where I now instruct art, music, and dance classes during the school year.
On this page you will see a few examples of my best work on paper!
"Couple's Dance"
18'' x 24'' Color pencil drawing
An original photo taken at a friends wedding,
which I recreated using prismacolor pencils with the intent to display it at our own wedding.
I used the photograph side by side while drawing, but free-handed everything. This piece took close to 35 hours of work, and was completed in early 2023.

"Awe of Grandeur"
13'' x 17'' Color pencil drawing
An original photo taken at the Grand Canyon National park at sunset. A breathtaking moment captured and used as reference to create this piece with prismacolor pencils. Free-handed from the reference photo. No tracing or measuring was done. This piece took close to 50 hours of work and won "best of show" during AFAN's spring 2022 art exhibit, and now hangs proudly on my wall.
"Cave"
8.5'' x 11'' Color pencil
An entirely original piece done for AFAN's color theory class final. The goal was to create a piece using a color scheme developed prior to the picture, use composition, varying chroma and values, identifying color roles, and more material learned in class. No single reference was used for this piece, but a number of images of chalices, light sources, caves and water. Rendering this piece made almost completely from imagination.

"A Young Girl Reading"
9'' x 12'' Color pencil drawing
Another free-handed piece that won several awards at AFAN's fall 2021 art exhibit.
Except the reference was a painting originally done by Jean-Honoré Fragonard in 1770
"Gangplank"
8.5'' x 11'' Color pencil drawing
This was one of my first in-class final projects for color pencil at MSOA. Free-handed from a reference print, the original photo is from the video game "League of Legends"

Drawing and Color Pencil Lessons
I have taught a few selective art lessons with young children ( 7+ ) over the years. Including color pencil, drawing 101, and even some vocal lessons.
And my hope for the next few years is to teach more private in-house art courses to people of any age.
From color pencil, drawing basics, cartooning, anime, to vocals, and even entry level music theory!
